Matsura Historical Museum
The Matsuura Historical Museum is the oldest museum in Nagasaki Prefecture, preserving and displaying materials handed down to the Matsuura family, feudal lords of Hirado, who ruled over northern Nagasaki Prefecture, including Hirado and Iki, since the Kamakura period. The building is the Tsurugamine Residence, built in 1893 as the Matsuura family's private residence.
