*Sumo Experience Conditions: Only guests who agree to the precautions below may participate in the Sumo Experience.
(1) You have not been drinking alcohol
(2) You are in good physical health, with no injuries, whether serious or minor
(3) You agree to enter the sand barefoot
(4) In the unlikely event of injury, we are unable to take any responsibility (participants accept full responsibility)
(5) All ages and genders are welcome to participate
(6) During the hands-on experience, you will not be naked as you will wear a costume on top of your regular clothes

*The sumo experience for visitors is not available if you have consumed alcohol.

Sumo Entertainment! Rikishi Chanko Nabe and Sumo Show
[Daytime Session (Evening Session)]
- 11:30–12:20 (Evening Session: 17:30–18:20)
- Enjoy the famous chanko nabe, traditional dish of the sumo world.
- 12:20–13:30 (Evening Session: 18:20–19:30)
- First, former rikishi will introduce you to sumo and teach you about important elements such as shiko (sumo stomps), hip exercises, and warm-up exercises.
- Watch demonstrations of basic sumo movements, such as stomping, sliding steps, and leg-opening exercises. Enjoy a humorous explanation of prohibited moves, such as slapping, punching, and kicking.
- Watch a brief practice session followed by an authentic sumo bout featuring traditional ritual movements. Choose a rikishi and cheer them on!
- After that, it’s time to step into the dohyo yourself. Don a sumo costume and have a bout with the sumo stable’s rikishi.
*Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Finally, take a commemorative photo on the rikishi's platform with former rikishi.
- We will also provide time for you to purchase souvenirs that are only available here.
