The Hakata Old Town Light-Up Walk is a special event where you can experience the charm of Hakata in a way different from daytime by illuminating temple and shrine buildings and gardens.
This year's lighting theme is “Forest of Light.” Please enjoy the beautiful scenery on the long autumn nights.
Paid venues: Joten-ji Temple, Tocho-ji Temple, Myo-raku-ji Temple, Eiju-in Temple, Engaku-ji Temple, Ryugu-ji Temple, Hongaku-ji Temple, Zendo-ji Temple, Myoden-ji Temple, Kaigen-ji Temple
Free venues: *Joten-ji Temple (Buddha Hall), Kushida Shrine (Nigiwai Square), Ikko-ji Temple, Hakata Sennen Gate, Katsuragi Jizo-son
*At Kushida Shrine, there will be no lighting performances by a lighting company this year.
