You can tour a factory that manufactures “tatami mat, fusuma, and shoji,” which is traditional Japanese culture, and experience making one mini tatami mat.

Tatami mats are made by sewing a “tatami mat” made by weaving “grass” onto the surface of the plate-like “tatami mat floor,” which is the core material, and sewing a band-shaped cloth called an “edge.”

In the mini tatami making experience, you can make mini tatami mats of about 20 cm x 15 cm while receiving lectures from craftsmen. The tatami mat uses Japanese paper, which is traditional Japanese paper. Compared to mugwort, it is a material that does not discolor and is highly durable. The tatami mat is available in multiple colors, so you can make it in your favorite color, and various types of rims (helix) are also available, so please choose the one you like.
